Why Our Clinic Might Just Save Your Life

We talk a lot about glowing skin, natural results and feeling confident. But this week we want to talk about something a little more important than that - your skin health.

The Elegance team has recently completed advanced melanoma and early skin cancer detection training, and we wanted to share why that feels like such a significant step for us and for our clients.

Think about it for a moment. When you come in for a treatment at Elegance, we are looking at your skin under bright clinical lighting, up close, in detail. We see your skin more carefully than almost anyone else in your life - including, in many cases, your GP. That puts us in a genuinely unique position to notice changes, irregularities or anything that doesn't look quite right.

With that comes a real responsibility. One we take seriously.

As part of our training, the team have deepened their knowledge of the ABCDE method - the key framework used to identify potential warning signs in moles and skin lesions. In short, we look at Asymmetry, Border, Colour, Diameter and Evolution over time. If something doesn't look right, we will always tell you and refer you to the appropriate medical professional without hesitation.

We are not here to diagnose. But we are here to look, to notice, and to speak up if something gives us cause for concern.

Skin cancer is one of the most common cancers in the UK - and when caught early, survival rates are excellent. Regular skin checks matter. Having people in your life who look at your skin closely and know what to look for matters even more.

So the next time you're in the clinic, know that the hands treating you are not just trained in aesthetics. They're trained to look after you, in every sense of the word.
